leider sind die monatlichen "Special Editions" seit der Geely übernahme etwas rar geworden. da gibt es dann halt mal 1-2 jahre nix...

das ist ein interessanter (Schach-)Zug, wie die Unternehmensanteile und dahinter liegenden Marken und Technologien an der (mittel-) langen Leine geführt werden.
hatte ja bereits beim Emira vermutet, dass Geely die Marke Lotus aufbauen will. nur fehlte mir die Fantasie, das über reine Automodelle hinaus zu denken. hier zeigt sich erneut, dass wenn eine Marke stark genug ist, dass man darunter einiges verkaufen kann (könnte)

das geht voll in die richtung luxusmarkenstrategie a la meffert mit ein bisschen asia bling bling on top.
individuelle massenfahrezeuge werden in zukunft in der vermarktung keine rolle mehr spielen, weil die zur reinen dienstleistung/software "verkommen".
also gilt es früstmöglich, die verbleibenden marktplätze zu verteilen. genau wie du sagst, dachkonzern a la LVHM und darunter ein lustiges sammelsurium an luxusmarken.
hmmm, vielleicht spielt das argument "solange die in Hethel Nischen Spochtwagen bauen..." dann doch keine rolle mehr.

jedenfalls nicht so, wie wir es bisher erwartet haben.
für die Marke Lotus wird Hethel und das ganze Geschichts-(Geschichten-) Brimborium weiterhin wichtig sein und bleiben. deshalb auch die Investition in das Werk und wahrscheinlich dürfen wir noch das eine oder andere (Spezial-) Fahrzeug oder Teile von dort erwarten, damit die Marke weiterhin frisch gehalten und aufgeladen wird.
andererseits bringen sie ja 'Lotus-Technology' an den Markt, was nach meiner Lesart wenig bis gar nichts mit Hethelpersonal oder -Technologie zu tun gehabt hat. wobei man da auch sagen muss, dass bisschen 'Lotus-Technologie' aus Hethel seit Jahren auch kaum der Rede wert ist oder einen Wert in der Automobilindustrie hat.
