    An epic year that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the now world-famous ‘FoS’ will see Lotus displaying an array of treats for the thousands of motoring enthusiasts, F1 fans and garden-party go-ers making their way to Goodwood this weekend.

    Lotus has chosen the Festival of Speed as the perfect back for the dynamic launch of the Exige S Roadster and will also be presenting the 2013 Lotus F1® Team’s black and gold E21, the brand new Elise S Club Racer and the very same Exige S that performed high octane stunts in this summer’s eagerly anticipated blockbuster movie ‘RED 2’. This collection of superstars sits alongside a full compliment of current Lotus models for a truly exotic turnout.

    This year, Lotus proudly displays a replica of the 2013 Lotus F1® Team car, but just to go that extra mile (it’s Lotus after all), Lotus F1® Team driver Romain Grosjean will be making an appearance too! Romain will be driving Lotus COO Aslam Farikullah ‘up the hill’ in the brand new Exige S Roadster in it’s maiden public voyage on Saturday to mark the official launch of the fastest soft-top Lotus ever! Romain will also be busy with further runs in the Roadster on both Saturday and Sunday and of course will be taking to the hill in the real E21! Between F1® and Supercar hill climbs, Romain will be making an exclusive appearance on the Lotus stand to take questions from fans and sign autographs at 3.30pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday.

    Making its global debut at Goodwood is the brand new Elise S Club Racer. Following the hugely popular ‘Club Racer’ variant on Lotus’ entry level 1.6 litre Elise, the lighter-weight, enthusiast orientated package is now available on the supercharged 1.8 litre Elise S.

    Cool, das lässt hoffen, dass wir aus dem Motor (2ZR) der neuen Elise S auch 240PS rau bekommen :D
    Die 20 kg Gewichtsersparnis werden genau gerechnet, keinen Unterschied zur einfachen Elise S machen. Wenn die CR wie bei der 1,6L-Version, einfach wieder ohne Radio, ohne Soft- oder Hardtop und mit Schmiedefelgen ausgeliefert wird. deshalb ist Weightreduction eher Blendung.
    Mich würde interessieren, wie die die 240 PS realisieren, bestimmt nur übers Mapping.
    Das Mapping der aktuellen Elise S ist wirklich nicht optimal, ich habe immer noch einen verrusten Auspuff.

    Ja ich glaube auch das es über das mapping erzeugt wird. Bisschen Steuergerät programmieren. 8) Der Supercharger wird der gleiche sein.

    Was ich Klasse finde sind die Sitze und die Matte Lackierung. Vor allem der Preis ist interresant. Die 20 Kg wirst du jetzt nicht gerade merken und Bäume ausreisen aber die 240 PS klingen für die Elise recht gut.

    Ich bin mir sicher das sie sich gut verkaufen wird.

    @dot stimmt Du hast recht. Steht ja auch so im Text. Richtig lesen sollte ich mal 8|

    Ich habe das jetzt mal nachgerechnet. Meine Elise S wiegt vollgetankt mit Softtop = 915kg. Das sind fast genau 240PS/Tonne.
    Ok, PS sind nicht gleich BHP, aber 240 BHP sind auch nur 243 PS. Und damit kaum ein Unterschied. 4,2 sek auf 60mph werden dann auch die 4,6sek auf 100km/h sein.
    Hört sich alles toll an, ist aber im Vergelich zur Elise S eher eine Mogelpackung. :(

    Das Verdeck fehlt aber wahrscheinlich, genauso wie bei der kleinen CR. Das würde dann auch nochmal mit ca. 1000-1500€ dazu kommen. Aber mal abwarten wenn man die CR bestellen kann, was der Händler des Vertauens dann für Preise macht.
