Lach, Automatik! Naja, die kleinen Feldchen bei Ebay denen man keine Beachtung schenkt und dann die Anzeige auch nur in Teilen gelesen - böser Junge! Kommt nicht wieder vor.
Kann man einen Automatikwagen eigentlich ohne Probleme umbauen? Ich hab noch ein Getriebe Serie 1 liegen, das scheint noch ganz brauchbar zu sein...)

Man,kann...aber nicht ohne Probleme und mit viel Geld.Getriebe,Kupplung,Geber/Nehmerzylinder,Pedalerie,Schaltkulisse usw.
Yes i am also looking forward to set-up a new meeting in this year Jurgen (i hope that i can make it with the time..) and otherwise next year,
butt now i am putting up the meeting nearby my house, because here i know nice places and nice hotels/restaurants,
this year i want to have mike kimbery at the meeting (and maby oliver winterbottum agian, because thats a great men!!!)

Its a s2 mm interested, and i have good leather, and i have also a adres from somebody how can fix leather, (did also my red lotus elite)
i will follow the bidding, and i have a overhauld engine here, so i can drive away if i want to.. (and have a automatic gearbox still) so if its brakes down,

der silberne S2 elite bei ebay in uk sieht ja von außen recht sauber aus...was mich aber stutzig macht is der katastrophale zustand im inneren...außen so schhön und innen pfui? der dachhimmel wiederrm gemacht....wie kommts? war das ding malmunter wasser gestanden? im ernst...in UK waren ja in den letzten jahren reichlich überschwemmungen.
der motorraum würde auch einiges aussagen...leider keine fotos.

naja...ich glaub das nicht. sicher ist: der preis wird von "denen" schon in die richtung gedrückt dass es passt...viel höher sollte er in dem zustand nicht steigen...wird er aber.
auch seltsam: ein automatik ohne servolenkung....gabs das wirklich...ich kannte das nur immer in kombination.
die felgen sind ja auch leider übelst komplett silber lackiert....radmuttern sehen auch wie überlackiert aus. türen hängen. bremsen ncht ok...plus all das andere was da noch ans tageslicht kommt wenn man das auto dann mal näher inspizieren würde

na denn...meine skepsis wurde mal wieder bestätigt:
wurde zuerst in UK für 1450 inseriert (VK preis wird dann sicher etwas weniger gewesen sein), danach von nem händler für 2500 angeboten und nun von den angebliche lotus enthusiasten...die ihm evtl. die servolenkung ausgebaut haben.

bauke: for how much you expect to sell your car?
typisch ausgeschlagener unterer querlenker an der stabianlenkung, fahrwerk sieht original aus..keinerlei upgrades oder polybuchsen...selbst die uralten bremsschläuche sind noch drin. wie so oft...oben und innen hui...und unten rum (da wos beim lotus eigentlich fahrdynamisch her ankommt ) pfui!!
klar..das braune kommt "nur" vom blitz...fast wie der schwäbische italiener der mir vor zig jahren nen alten alfa verkaufen wollte: "isch keine roschd...musch du nur ä bissle butze"..und schon stekcte mein fuss im schweller..nein..nein...war keine rost, isch nur ein schweller-belüftungsloch!!!
da kann man dann (wenns auch ein RHD sein darf) gleich ne UK-Zeckenkiste kaufen...sieht unten rum auch nicht schhlimmer aus.
Bremsschläuche original 'alt' ..und Unterlegscheiben an den anscheinend neu eingebauten Kugelgelenken des Achsschenkels -macht man das so ..?
schade nur dass ich die unterboden-bilder des weißen elite(eben der der weiter oben abgelichtet ist) nicht mehr habe....genau das gleiche...oben rum tip-top und unten der volle zeckenbock...der war mal richtig rostig und siffig.
von der pflegementalität könnten sich beide völker die hand reichen.

so i dont sale cars with a suprise, butt the white one was not back, i have seen much more elite cars, and they are worst very more worst as this white one,

and let me be good: micha called me 2 or 3 times about the car, and saw it on a bridge, and yess i did a proces to protect the under side because of the rust,
butt i see that the person (micha) the man aus muchen was not so happy about that, and i lear a lesson about that,
thats the ression, that i dont waxx a car agian into the anit-rust, butt dont get me worg, micha was with the car, and if it was even treu rotten, you always could see it.... i my eyes the white elite was a good nice car, with superficial rust on it, BUTT REALY NO RUST TREU It chassis,
and yess the red one i want 8500 for, and i did much more on that car then the white one,
i replace leather and much more... thats make it not cheap... and i have a spare lotus elite for sale
(there are 11 cars sold back into the 70''s) and i have allready the 2the (off the 11) lotus elite from the netherlands
alfa = rust..... everybody knows that..

..that's really a interesting thing -can you please explain how this goes -was it just underbody-coating to cover up the rust, or some kind of paint ? Or have you put the whole Chassis in a bath of chemical mixture with tar ..maybe we can use this to restore all our older cars

der gelbe schaut wirklich ganz gut aus. das interieur finde ich nicht schlecht. ist zwar stoff, aber in ganz ordentlichem zustand. auf jeden fall 1000 mal besser als das vom schwarzen bei nürnberg, der die gleiche innenausstattung hat. der preis ist auch nicht schlecht ...

interestingwise an yesterday´s email from a mate of mine perfectly matches to this subject.
the car was advertized, as usual in UK , without any chassis pictures. due to the demand of my mate the dealer sent some pictures (b4 you watch the pics keep in mind):
my mate was interested in a low mileage (22.000mls) 1998 TVR Grifftith, advertized from one of the oldest TVR dealers in UK (which normally should mean a lot),chassis description: "MINT, What I can say about this particular Griffith is that it is one of the best chassis that we have seen on a Griffith of this age." "the carpets are worn in some areas. This is easily rectified should a buyer wish us to undertake this" "here are also some stone chips at the front end, again very common but not bad enough to warrant re-spraying, unless, again, you would wish this to be undertaken"
the car has a dirty, waxolyded chassis, the typical chassis areas are corroded(even shot), the car was resprayed already (low mileage????) as the underbody coating(waxoyl) showed some overspray, suspension parts are bent, due to somebody lifted the car at the wrong areas.
thats the UK and from my expirience also the NL mentality

"no overseas, UK only" steht in der beschreibung.....und schade dass er keine servolenkung hat...beleuchtung geht leider auch nicht...somit definitv ne hänger-abholung notwendig.
die innenausstattng ist gewöhnungsbedürftig..und man sieht jeden fussel.(ich hatte mal nen eclat S2 mit der ausstattung...ein traumauto vom zustand...für 750pound!!!!! vor 4jahren gekauft....und danach wegen was anderem wieder bald verkauft...es reut mich heute noch!!!!)...aber: diese ausstattung hat gegenüber den kunstleder varianten den großen vorteil dass sie nicht reist, an den a-säulen und armaturenbrettumrandung richtung scheibe nicht schrumpft usw....eben die deutlich beständigere (wenn nicht gar beständigste) variante die es gibt.
Nicht falsch verstehen, ich habe gar nichts gegen Stoff! Im Gegenteil, ich liebe Stoff und halte ihn ebenfalls für stabiler als das meiste Leder welches in AUtos verbaut wird. Im Anhang mein Fahrersitz welcher bereits über 200tkm runter hat!
Ich träume immer noch als Alltagswagen von einem Bentley Continental R mit dunkelgrünem West of England Cloth mit beiger Ledereinfassung - außen natürlich ebenfalls dunkelgrün. 
Es gab mal so eine Sonderanfertigung für ein entferntes Mitglied des Königshauses
Im Falle des gelben Riviera will aber der Stoff einfach nicht mit dem Rest harmonieren. Nach einigem hin und her überlegen bin ich zunehmend bereit auch mehr zu investieren - nur dann steigen eben auch die Ansprüche...

Micha: Tolle Story mit dem TVR, aber das ist das Problem welches man nahezu immer hat wenn man nicht in Deutschland, der CH oder evtl. noch Skandinavien kauft. Oder wie es mal ein Verkäufer in UK ausdrückte: "You Germans are so picky" 
Schau mal hier rein... diese Rivieras stehen/standen teilweise auch zum Verkauf...

i can make pictures from everything if you want to, then i must putt the car on a bridge, butt it looks very nice it stand for over 15 years into a dry storage,
so thats no problem, butt i am not yet fisnish with the car, the lats things i work on right now, to putt it on the internet,

butt i have done may work on the elite, to bring her back into the good and nice shape she where before..
and she is a LHD orginal NL car,
the car goes on a bridge, then i will make pictures again, and then i will putt it also on the internet everywhere, (then the car is also clear..)
i will see what the price then is because i think there will be a little bid other cost around..
we will see.. the yellow riviera look nice, buts a eclat,
if somebody need spares for his eclat or elite i have 2 cars for spares to take down, (so i sell them...)
